DJ Raptor: Yabai Records

Lui – a.k.a DJ Raptor is one of Sydney ’s Psytrance pioneers who is always on the cutting edge of music and production of parties. He first found trance music from travellers that brought the music on DAT tapes and since then has been absorbed by the psychedelic way of life. He has been producing parties in Sydney, Australia for over 12 years hosting many international acts/djs and running Sydney ’s longest running Psytrance weekly club – ‘Re:Bound’. With his trance performances, he does not compromise when laying down a set filled with rolling basslines and expressive psychedelic sounds. After many years of experience and exposure to different electronic music, he has matured overall and has the ability to construct a wide variety of sets – ranging from explosive trance all the way through to the other side of his musical passion (a more commercial club sound utilising progressive, tech house, tribal house and electro). He regularly plays alongside the major international acts such as Infected Mushroom and Hallucinogen and also plays regularly across Australia; having played at the prestigious Rainbow Serpent Festival for the last 8 years, Exodus Festival, NYE Doof Experience, Cairns Winter Solstice, Soulclipse Festival (Turkey), multiple closing sets of Earthdance Sydney, Full Moon and Half Moon Parties in Thailand. He is the only Australian performer to be playing at the Easter Island ‘Honu’ Eclipse Festival in 2010 and is resident at the United Colors of Trance parties @ ARQ. He has also setup Australiens.net with Adam T – Australia ’s leading Psytrance portal which has connected the whole of Australia ’s trance family with the world.
